I consider myself very fortunate to be doing what I do as a profession. It’s not everyday that you have an opportunity to help someone continue their life without pain, or limitation. Foot surgery is special because the very thing we take for granted everyday… being a biped and walking is what can stop you from all your normal activities if it is taken away.
But what really makes me cherish my practice are the amazing people I get to help. I have a special practice with very special patients. Every one of you makes getting up in the morning and coming to work worthwhile. One such patient is amazing Fiona. This woman not only had a remarkable recovery process, she was back jumping out of airplanes after an ankle fracture.
She recently came by to give me a very special gift… this photograph was taken at 3000 Feet Above the Blue Hole in Belize (Read about it HERE). Not only did Fiona parachute safely into the center of the hole, but she is one of 4 women who have EVER done this! A warm and heartfealt Congratulations to an amazing woman, and an amazing patient.
