Bike to work!

One of the things that I’m passionate about is our world. Our environment is taking a beating under the stress of feeding, clothing, and transporting 6 billion people.  If you’ve ever wanted to do something to reduce your footprint with the use of natural resources, there are 2 things that you can do that have the greatest effect: Reduce your meat intake, and bike to work once or twice a week.

The effect of removing the population of a city the size of Los Angeles from the roads once or twice a week is huge.  That’s why I do my part and bike to work two or three times a week.  If schedule permits, I bike every day.  You’ll notice significant change in your health, and you get your work out without having to go to the gym.  Biking is a podiatrically neutral activity, meaning that it doesn’t effect your foot from direct impact.  This is an excellent means of exercise for people who have foot problems and can’t run.

    Hey Dr. Sadrieh!

I am actually going to be riding my bike to work every day! Our offices are moving to Brea and I’m moving apartments and will be about a mile or so from work, so I will be walking/riding my bike. :) And you already know I don’t eat meat :)

That is great news Annette! Too many don’t use the most valuable machine they own… their bodies! i hope you can inspire more of your co-workers to start commuting with bike; and you know my feelings about meat in America!

It’s good to hear from you. Talk with you soon.
