When I started my first practice… Beverly Hills Aesthetic Foot Surgery, I decided to take a new direction, I set out to create a practice where we provided the highest quality of care in the most technologically advanced, environmentally friendly setting available. I began to develop innovative new procedures that took the most important part of surgical decision making into consideration… what was attached to the feet, the patient.

This is why we are considered the authority in this growing specialty and have been referred to by various press and media outlets as the “Podiatrist to the Stars”™. The reality was that the modern woman cannot obtain treatment for their concerns in the narrow limitations that traditional Podiatric Medicine imposes on them. To function in the modern professional world, a woman has to wear a certain type of attire, and although we can discuss the problems with this, it isn’t going to change anytime soon. I realized that by advising patients to wear different shoes, or sell them expensive ineffective inserts or orthotics, I wasn’t really helping them. Rather, I focused my energies on creating new procedures that did away with the traditional techniques and difficult recovery that came with the procedures we all learned in training and residencies.

New procedures were only part of the story however. As we grew I realized that an innovative practice has to constantly improve on itself. The patient experience is just as important as the procedures we perform. With every evolutionary step, our practice raised the bar again and set a new standard for quality care. I decided to open our practice to the strict guidelines that JCAHO (The Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) imposes to accredit it’s facilities. This process is voluntary and most surgical facilities opt for other accrediting bodies. I chose JCAHO because of their long history accrediting hospitals across the country and the fact that they are the “industry standard” for accreditation. Getting JCAHO certified is testament to how confident we are in the quality of services we provide our patients.

New services like our Patient Courtesy Transportation also set a new standard and raise the bar for practices around the country offering services like ours. Every surgical patient is picked up and returned with our 2009 Mercedes Benz R320 Bluetec. This way on your surgical day, you don’t have to concern yourself with getting to surgery on time, or getting a ride back. This car is not only luxurious and comfortable, but runs for 700 miles on a tank of Biodiesel (diesel gas made from recycled waste vegetable oil)! Taking care of the environment, while providing a no compromise, luxurious experience… those are the core principles of our practice.
Even our web presence is constantly evolving. This site is the first of its kind, serving not only as a platform for information, but as a communication medium where potential clients from all over the country, and now all over the world can connect with us and communicate their needs before making a trip out to Los Angeles for their procedures. You can register online, saving paper and time when you come into the office. You literally make appointments on our site with access to available slots in our schedule. You can discuss your experiences or questions with other patients in the forum. And coming in 2010, patients will have access to videos that provide help with all their post operative questions and concerns.
