Hello Dr. Sadrieh,

I'm really excited to hear that you have created something new for people with my kind of problem. I have been to my local foot doctor and have been told that there is nothing they can do for my toe.

My second toe is much longer than my other toes and when I wear high heels or any other kind of shoe that isn't 1 or 2 sizes bigger, my toe gets jammed and I am getting a callus on top. The one doctor who was willing to shorten my toe said that it could take up to 2 months with a pin in my toe, and I would have a scar on top.

It makes me very happy to hear that I can actually get this fixed and have no scar visible with no difficult recovery. Can you please help me?

Hello Ken,

Shortening the 2nd toe would the procedure of choice since the procedure that I have developed now has 5 years of reliable results and a minimally invasive, easy to recover post operative course. Of course there are factors that could change our decision once we have a chance to consult in person. Once of those is the secondary effects of the shorter 1st metatarsal and if there are issues on the bottom of the foot (calluses, pain etc.)

Ultimately, as with most foot problems, we need to consult in person, look at radiographs and then decide what to do.

Thank you for your comment and thank you for visiting the site. I look forward to seeing you.

Dr. Ali Sadrieh

I have a morton's toe and would like to know which is a better fixation procedure that would be recommended, lengthening the first metatarsal because i know it's shorter than the second or going with the toe shortening procedure by shortening my second toe?is there any non-surgical procedure for lengthening the great?
