As a result, I developed a soft lightly painful corn on it and hypertrophic dark skin on the other two. I was always a bit self conscious on the dark marks, but the toe after the big toe was the ugliest. I went to a foot surgeon to have the toes assessed. He diagnosed the three digits as hammered. He said that he can fix them and that he would shorten the digit after the big because of the length. I told him that I did not want to shorten my toes since I was proud to have by fathers big feet. Anyway he did and now I have three toes with thick swollen painful joints. How do I get rid of those swollen joints. Hi Dr.
